Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated General Science Teacher to join a vibrant school in September 2025. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, fostering curiosity and a love for scientific exploration.

Duties as a General Science Teacher:
  1. Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  2. Engage students through practical experiments, investigations, and interactive teaching methods.
  3. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  4. Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
  5. Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
  6. Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular Science activities or STEM clubs.
  7. Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Science department.
  8. Ensure the safeguarding and well-being of all pupils.
Ideal General Science Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant Science degree.
  • Experience teaching General Science at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
  • Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills as a General Science Teacher.
  • A passion for Science and student success.
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
