Duties as a General Science Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in biology, chemistry and physics

• Inspire pupils to think critically and scientifically, both inside and outside the classroom

• Use data to track student progress and personalise learning

• Maintain high standards of health and safety in practical activities

• Prepare students for GCSE exams, supporting both high achievers and those needing extra support

• Contribute to the development of schemes of work, assessments, and extracurricular opportunities

• Engage fully in school life, including enrichment clubs, trips and open evenings

Ideal General Science Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• A relevant science degree or equivalent qualification

• Strong subject knowledge across all three sciences at KS3/4

• A passion for science education and student achievement

• A creative, adaptable and reflective approach to teaching

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills as a General Science Teacher.
