Job Title: General Science Teacher

This school is looking for a dynamic and adaptable General Science Teacher to join their vibrant Science Department. You’ll deliver engaging lessons across biology, chemistry, and physics at Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers, medics, and environmentalists. The position begins in June 2025.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in biology, chemistry, and physics (KS3 & KS4).
2. Use practical experiments, demonstrations, and digital tools to engage learners.
3. Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching to support all abilities.
4. Create a safe, well-managed learning environment, particularly in lab settings.
5. Support students’ critical thinking, curiosity, and independent enquiry.
6. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, moderation, and innovation.
7. Participate in whole-school activities including trips, clubs, and enrichment events.

Ideal Candidate:

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
2. A degree in a science-related subject.
3. Strong subject knowledge across biology, chemistry, and physics at KS3/KS4.
4. Confident, approachable teaching style with strong behaviour management skills.
5. Passion for making science accessible, relevant, and exciting.
6. Commitment to inclusive education and professional development.
