Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated General Science Teacher to join secondary schools in the Great Yarmouth area. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire curiosity and a love of learning across Biology, Chemistry and Physics at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Beginning ASAP.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the science disciplines in line with the national curriculum.
  • Use practical experiments and investigations to develop students’ scientific enquiry skills.
  • Differentiate lessons to support a range of abilities and learning needs.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
  • Maintain a safe and well-organised laboratory environment.
  • Contribute to department planning and whole-school initiatives, including extracurricular science activities and trips.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge across the three sciences.
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills as a General Science Teacher.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and engage students of all abilities.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
