Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated General Science Teacher to join a good school in September 2025. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, fostering curiosity and a love for scientific exploration.

Duties as a General Science Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Engage students through practical experiments, investigations, and interactive teaching methods.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular Science activities or STEM clubs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Science department.
  • Ensure the safeguarding and well-being of all pupils.

Ideal General Science Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant Science degree.
  • Experience teaching General Science at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
  • Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills as a General Science Teacher.
  • A passion for Science and student success.
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
