Job description

This school is seeking an enthusiastic and committed General Science Teacher to join a dynamic science department. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop critical thinking, curiosity, and a deep understanding of the world around them. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a General Science Teacher:

1. Deliver high-quality science lessons across Key Stage 3 and GCSE
2. Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners and promote progress
3. Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with national curriculum expectations
4. Encourage scientific enquiry, practical work, and real-world application
5. Support the wider science faculty with enrichment and STEM-related activities

Ideal Candidate:

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
2. A degree in a science-related subject
3. Strong subject knowledge across the three sciences at KS3/4
4. A passion for teaching and inspiring young minds
5. Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
