General Sales Manager – Franchised Car Dealership

Location: Bexhill, East Sussex

Basic Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE

OTE: Uncapped – % of Bottom Line

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am–6:00pm | Saturdays 9:00am – 5:00pm | Day Off in Week

We’re looking for a driven and dynamic General Sales Manager to lead the sales department of a well-established franchised dealership. Whether you're an experienced Sales Manager ready for a fresh challenge, or a high-performing Business Manager or ASM ready to step up – we want to hear from you.

About the Role:

You’ll be responsible for managing a team of 4 Sales Executives currently selling an average of 35 used and 20 new vehicles each month. This is a team with potential but needs the right leadership to push performance to the next level.

We need a General Sales Manager who can:

  • Motivate and develop the team to increase sales conversions

  • Instil strong sales processes and structure across the department

  • Build a culture of accountability and urgency

  • Challenge the current mindset – no more letting customers walk!

  • Work closely with the senior management team to drive profitability

What We’re Looking For:
  • A natural leader with a hands-on approach and strong people skills

  • Someone with energy, character, and a drive to succeed

  • A coach and mentor, not just a manager

  • Experience in a franchised dealership is ideal, but we will consider candidates ready to step up
