Job summary

Cumbria Health is recruiting General Practitioners to work in our Out of Hours Services across Cumbria, including Barrow and Whitehaven. The role offers Skilled Worker visa sponsorship for eligible candidates and flexible evening, overnight and weekend sessions.

As a Cumbria Health GP, you will deliver high-quality primary care in line with evidence-based medicine, maintain clinical records, and collaborate across several locations to meet service needs.

Qualifications

• Must be a fully qualified Doctor with GMC registration.
• Evidence of GP experience.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Knowledge and use of IM&T systems.
• Experience in medical audit and clinical risk management.
• Willingness to travel to different sites across Cumbria.

Responsibilities

Cumbria Health is recruiting for GP's to work in our Out of Hours Services throughout Cumbria and are pleased to offer Skilled Worker Visa Sponsorship for eligible candidates. We are experienced in completing and working with Skilled Worker candidates. Please note this is a vacancy to collect expressions of interest, and as such, there may not be any opportunities available that align with your preferred location or schedule. Our General Practitioners form an integral part of the Cumbria Health team, accountable to the Chief Executive and Medical Director. As a Cumbria Health GP, you will be responsible for providing high quality primary care services to the population of Cumbria, in an out of hours setting. At our Barrow and Whitehaven sites, we are particularly seeking GPs who can support evening, overnight and weekend sessions. For our other locations, requirements will be dependent on service need, and we welcome applications from interested candidates., This post is to provide a full range of high quality primary care services in line with approved protocols and evidence based medicine to the population of Cumbria during in and out of hours / in-hours setting.

• To respond to medical problems presented by patients as appropriate which may include: Clinical advice by telephone, Face to face consultations, History taking, Examination, Diagnosis, Investigation, Treatment, Referral where appropriate Provide health promotion and preventative health care and advice where appropriate. Provide medical care in accordance with Cumbria Health's quality standards. Prescribe and administer medicines in accordance with the Medicines Management procedures. To participate in and support the electronic methods of data collection and record management whilst ensuring appropriate communication with all professionals. Produce clinical records in accordance with the quality standards and to enable full clinical details to be supplied to patients GPs by the start of the next working day.

• Ability to travel to meet the needs of the post, No history of professional misconduct as determined by the GMC
• No current restrictions imposed by the GMC, Must be fully qualified Doctor with full GMC registration
• Evidence of GP experience (certificate of prescribed and equivalent experience)
• Must be on Medical Performers List in England, Knowledge and use of IM & T systems
• Experience in medical audit and clinical risk management
• Working across boundaries, good communication skills, able to collaborate and cooperate in multi-agency working
• Previous experience delivering GMS/PMS services
• Eligible to provide: a) CHS b) Maternity services c) Contraceptive services d) Evidence of continued professional development, Experience of providing clinical leadership in a GP practice environment
