Job summary

Fairfield Surgery is seeking a General Practitioner to provide comprehensive medical care to registered patients. The role involves face-to-face, telephone and video consultations, diagnosing and managing conditions, prescribing safely, and conducting home visits when needed.

The GP will maintain accurate records, participate in safeguarding, support preventive health initiatives, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care within NHS Wales guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical services to registered patients in accordance with GMC standards and NHS Wales requirements.
• Undertake face-to-face, telephone, and video consultations as appropriate.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Prescribe medications safely and cost-effectively.
• Conduct home visits where clinically appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records.
• Participate in safeguarding processes for children and vulnerable adults.
• Support preventive healthcare and health promotion initiatives.
• Lead and collaborate with the practice team to improve patient care and access.
• Contribute to governance, audits, and continuous professional development.
