Job description

Clinical Lead GP required at The Practice St Albans

The Practice St Albans has an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner Clinical Lead.

The Clinical Lead GP will report to the Regional Medical Director and be responsible for leading and managing the practice to improve performance in partnership with the Practice Manager. They will oversee overall practice performance to deliver care in line with contracted values, as well as locally and nationally enhanced schemes. The role also involves representing Operose Health at locality and GP Federation meetings on behalf of the practice.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading the practice in delivering high-quality clinical care to registered patients.
  2. Working closely with the local practice team to support operational plans.
  3. Attending and representing the practice in relevant meetings.
  4. Partnering with the practice manager to meet CQC, local, and contractual requirements.
  5. Collaborating with the corporate team to promote best practice care.
  6. Developing and managing clinicians within the practice, including GPs, nurses, pharmacists, and AHPs.
  7. Recruiting team members in line with budgets and establishment support.
  8. Ensuring incidents and SEAs are properly investigated and feedback is provided.
  9. Innovating future care delivery in line with the GP Forward View and 10 Year Plan.
  10. Providing flexible leadership duties, including management sessions.
