Clinical Lead GP required at Thornton Road Surgery

Thornton Road Surgery has an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner Clinical Lead.

The Clinical Lead GP will report to the Regional Medical Director and be responsible for leading and managing the practice to improve performance in partnership with the Practice Manager. They will oversee overall practice performance to deliver care in line with contracted values, locally and nationally enhanced schemes. They will also represent AT Medics in locality and GP Federation meetings on behalf of the practice.

The Clinical Lead GP role includes:

• Working with the practice manager to meet all CQC, local, and contracted requirements.
• Collaborating with the wider corporate team to promote and deliver best practice care.
• Developing and managing clinicians within the practice, including GPs, nurses, pharmacists, and AHPs. Recruiting team members with AT Medics support, within budgets and establishment.
• Ensuring investigations and feedback for SEAs and incidents, fostering a strong safety culture.
• Innovating future care provision in line with the GP Forward View and 10 Year Plan.

The Clinical Lead will work flexibly, including management sessions, to provide leadership duties.

The post involves leading on key disease areas (monitoring trends in the Quality and Outcomes Framework, Diabetes Care, immunisation, screening, KPIs, staff training, and prescribing) and developing healthcare services for a diverse patient population (NHS Choices, GP Patient Survey, patient participation, and health promotion).

Supported by clinical and management teams, the Clinical Lead will serve as the practice's leader and be part of a larger network of practices.
