About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to practice acute medicine while helping to reduce pressure on overstretched A&E and 999 services.

We are seeking experienced General Practitioners to work on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 to 18:30.

Ideal candidates will have out-of-hours experience, confidence in telephone triage, and the ability to think quickly. Training will be provided in the use of the Adastra clinical system, company policies, procedures, and local patient pathways.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

The role involves overseeing and providing telephone support to independent nurse prescribers. The GP will participate in home visits based in Burton, covering South Staffordshire.

The purpose of this contract is to provide a home visiting service to assist daytime General Practice by seeing acutely unwell adult patients who might otherwise call 999 or attend A&E.

The doctor will be accompanied by a driver in a fully equipped vehicle; however, this is not an emergency service.

Qualifications, Experience & Training

• Fully qualified GP with full GMC registration
• Listed on the English Performers list
• GP statutory and mandatory training, including BLS
• Proof of revalidation (where applicable)
• Organized and efficient in record keeping and paperwork completion
• Good time management skills, ability to prioritize work, and work under pressure
