Job description

Primary Care 24 (PC24) is seeking a General Practitioner (GP) with Paediatric experience for a Bank GP position in our paediatric primary care streaming service based at Alder Hey Children's Hospital.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assess, diagnose, and provide advice, care, and management to children and young people presenting with undiagnosed or undifferentiated illness via face-to-face assessments. They will demonstrate clinical reasoning, critical thinking, and autonomous practice, supported by APNP colleagues in the Urgent Care Centre based on site at Alder Hey Children's Hospital.

Main Duties
  • Provision of high-quality holistic clinical care, aligned with current healthcare standards
  • Focus on the needs of individual patients and develop a shared decision-making approach where appropriate
  • Consider the needs of the community and the wider determinants of health
  • Collaborative working with other healthcare professions and providers to bring optimal expertise around and individual patient
  • Integration of social prescribing into the care of our patients
  • Keep good clinical records, including a list of differential diagnoses
  • Working with operational teams, clinical colleagues, and clinical leads to support each other and improve the service
  • Representing PC24 in a professional manner
