Job description

Primary Care 24 (PC24) is seeking a General Practitioner (GP) for part-time work in our paediatric primary care streaming service based at Alder Hey Children's Hospital. The successful candidate will assess, diagnose, and provide advice, care, and management to children and young people presenting with undiagnosed or undifferentiated illness via face-to-face assessments.

The role involves provision of high-quality holistic clinical care, aligned with current healthcare standards, and focus on the needs of individual patients and the community. The GP will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and providers, integrate social prescribing into patient care, and maintain good clinical records.

Responsibilities
  • Provision of high-quality holistic clinical care, aligned with current healthcare standards
  • Focus on the needs of individual patients and develop a shared decision-making approach where appropriate
  • Consider the needs of the community and the wider determinants of health
  • Collaborative working with other healthcare professions and providers to bring optimal expertise around and individual patient
  • Integration of social prescribing into the care of our patients
  • Keep good clinical records and maintain a list of differential diagnoses
  • Working with operational teams, clinical colleagues, and clinical leads to support each other and improve the service
  • Representing PC24 in a professional manner
Requirements
