Position

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a General Pharmacy Practice Support Worker based across East Ayrshire.

Role Responsibilities

This role involves supporting NHS Ayrshire & Arran in delivering Primary Care Pharmacotherapy Services and ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines. You will work alongside practice pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, undertaking routine tasks that may require technical expertise. Additionally, you will communicate with patients over the phone regarding medication use. The role also includes support for some central team activities.

Requirements

• National 5 (or equivalent) in English, Maths, Chemistry, Biology (A or B pass), with moderate arithmetic skills
• Willingness to undertake further SVQ units at SCQF level 6, including Primary Care units
• Good communication skills (oral and written)
• Ability to operate computer systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and focus on tasks

Additional Information

Hours: 37 hours per week

Driving Licence/Car Ownership: Essential for this role.
