Over Surgery is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Practice Nurse/Nurse associate to join our friendly and proactive team in a village surgery on the outskirts of Cambridge. Main duties of the job

This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical skills within a supportive environment. You will work as part of a small, experienced nursing team providing high-quality care to our patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a wide range of nursing services and clinical care to patients
  • Deliver care within the boundaries of the role, focusing on:
  • Supporting patients in managing long-term conditions
  • Health promotion and screening activities
  • Prevention and lifestyle support
  • Work collaboratively with GPs and the wider clinical team to ensure safe, effective care
  • Follow practice protocols, policies, and national guidance
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records

Core Duties Include:

  • Childhood, travel, and routine immunisations and injections
  • Womens health, including cervical screening and contraception
  • Wound management and dressings
  • Chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, asthma)

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse/Nurse Associate with valid NMC PIN
  • Previous experience in General Practice Nursing is ideal (although training may be considered)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and organised, with a commitment to high standards of patient care

  • - Experience working as a Practice Nurse or in a primary care setting
  • - Knowledge of chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, asthma, COPD)
  • - Knowledge of current NHS initiatives and primary care policies
  • - Familiarity with systemone or similar clinical systems
