Job description

Role: General Practice Manager
Location: Eastbourne
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours, Monday-Friday, 08:30-17:15)

Minimum 30 hours/4 days considered

Pay: From 47,000 per annum (DOE, non-negotiable)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a General Practice Manager to join one of our longstanding clients, a respected and forward-thinking professional services firm based in Eastbourne.

The Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with substantial post-qualification experience in a practice environment
  • Strong technical proficiency in accounting software and financial systems
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven leadership capability with experience supervising and motivating teams
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of financial planning and operational efficiency

The Role:

  • Lead the financial planning and reporting function, ensuring accurate budget management and performance tracking
  • Supervise and support a team of accounting professionals, ensuring high-quality delivery and professional development
  • Maintain robust systems and internal controls, continuously improving workflows and processes
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory and professional standards
  • Assist with business development initiatives and contribute to long-term strategic planning
  • Conduct financial analyses to support forecasting and data-driven decisions
  • Oversee preparation of VAT returns and provide sound tax planning advice
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong professional relationships
  • Drive improvements in operational processes to enhance overall efficiency and profitability
  • Manage financial data, prepare management accounts, and produce timely financial reports
