General Practice Disposal / Transactional Surveyors X 4

Midlands

Duration: 6 months initially

We are currently assisting a local authority to recruit for X 4 General Practice Disposal / Transactional Surveyors. They are seeking 4 skilled and motivated Surveyors to support the efficient management of the property portfolio. This role is central to delivering best value from the Council’s land and property assets, through expert handling of property acquisitions, disposals, leases, and other transactions.

You will play a key role in enabling the Council to meet its strategic goals - supporting regeneration, housing delivery, and community services—while ensuring compliance with statutory duties and internal governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, lease renewals, licences, and wayleaves
  • Provide strategic property advice to support service delivery and estate rationalisation
  • Prepare reports, valuations, and recommendations for Cabinet, committees, and senior management
  • Negotiate with external parties, including developers, tenants, landowners, and legal representatives
  • Ensure transactions are conducted in line with public sector regulations and value-for-money principles
  • Maintain accurate asset records and contribute to property reviews and asset performance reporting
