Job description

We are looking for an experienced clinical pharmacist to join our team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and support staff working alongside the wider multidisciplinary teams supporting General Practices in Dundee.

The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent clinical and interpersonal skills, keen to develop them self and the Pharmacy service, and have a commitment to providing high quality care to support our patients achieve the best outcome from their medicines

In a typical working week you will:

  • Support pharmacy technicians and assistants to undertake medicines reconciliation post discharge or outpatient review
  • Deal with medication related queries from patients or other healthcare professionals
  • Undertake medication reviews or other clinical activities in GP practices including independent prescribing
  • Attend practice or other multidisciplinary meetings
  • Line manage and supervise pharmacists undertaking training and development e.g. independent prescribing, post-registration foundation
  • Support personal and service development based on your own interest e.g. QI project, sustainability, a specific clinical specialism, leadership or identified service need

You will be supported and encouraged to demonstrate continuous development of advanced clinical practice through education and training opportunities.
