Job summary

Bristol Royal Hospital for Children is seeking a Consultant in General Paediatrics and High Dependency Care. This 7 PA post supports the HDU team and will cover three HDU areas and general paediatric outpatient clinics.

Applicants should have a CCT in General Paediatrics with HDU SPIN or be within 12 months of achieving this, or be GMC-listed. The post involves cross-site working within Bristol NHS Foundation Trust.

Qualifications

• CCT in General Paediatrics with HDU SPIN or equivalent, or within 12 months of achieving this at interview date
• GMC registration
• APLS certification
• HDU SPIN
• MD/PhD or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Support HDU across three HDU areas (Cardiac, Surgical and Medical) and deliver routine paediatric outpatient clinics
• Provide 2nd on mornings for the acute paediatric team
• Contribute to cross-site service delivery and strategic service planning
