Job summary

Ferrero Halstead site is seeking a General Operator to support daily production operations. You will safely operate basic machinery, assist with line set-up and monitoring, and help ensure products meet Ferrero’s high standards.

Works on a fixed shift pattern: Mornings (6am–2pm) or Afternoons (2pm–10pm). Flexibility will be needed to meet changing production demands. Training and development opportunities are available within a collaborative team.

As a General Operator at our Ferrero Halstead site, home to our Eat Natural products, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of our production operations. You will be responsible for safely operating basic machinery, supporting production line activities, and helping ensure our products consistently meet Ferrero’s high quality standards. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will contribute to efficient production while always putting safety, quality, and care at the heart of what you do.

This is a permanent role working on either a fixed shift pattern of Mornings (6am–2pm) or Afternoons (2pm–10pm). Flexibility will be key to supporting changing production and operational demands. The shift pattern and operational requirements will be reviewed after 12 months to ensure the structure continues to best support production and business needs.

Main Responsibilities:

In this role, you will support the safe and efficient operation of our production area, ensuring machinery and production lines run smoothly while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and teamwork.

Safely operate basic production machinery, including cutting machines, in line with standard operating procedures.

Support the set-up, operation, and ongoing monitoring of production lines, carrying out basic visual quality checks.

Follow all health, safety, and hygiene requirements while working closely with colleagues to achieve production targets.

You bring a positive, responsible approach to work and are comfortable operating in a manufacturing environment where safety, quality, and teamwork are essential.

You are comfortable working in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment and understand the importance of following procedures.

You take health and safety seriously and pay close attention to quality and detail.

You enjoy working as part of a team, are reliable, and are willing to learn and develop new skills.
