Position summary:

Salary: £32,000 per annum (including shift allowance)

Benefits: 23 days holiday (option to buy/sell), pension scheme, PPE, staff discount shop, cycle to work, subsidized canteen, long service rewards

Working hours: 12-hour continental shifts on a 3/2 pattern, including nights, days, weekends, and bank holidays.

Our General Operators work across Packaging, Process, Multipack, and Services. Responsibilities include inspection, manual handling, automation tasks, housekeeping, operating machinery, quality checks, supporting raw material supply, waste segregation, and laboratory and warehouse roles.

Responsibilities

• Operating and setting machinery, ensuring health and safety compliance, and maintaining standards.

• Diagnosing and rectifying machinery issues, interpreting data, and communicating performance.

• Covering for colleagues as needed, maintaining safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards, and escalating issues appropriately.

Qualifications

Minimum: Confident communicator, results-focused, team player, basic numerical and computer skills, organized, adaptable, proactive problem solver.

Preferred: Manufacturing experience, technical machinery knowledge.
