General Operative – Finishing DepartmentLocation: Corby, UKPay: £12.45 per hour (including shift allowance)Shifts Available:

  • Afternoon Shift: Monday – Thursday (2pm – 10pm), Friday (11:30am – 5pm)
  • Morning Shift: Monday – Thursday (6am – 2pm), Friday (6am – 11:30am)Full-time, Permanent | 37.5 hours per week

Are you hands-on, detail-oriented, and looking for a role in manufacturing?

Join our Finishing Department at Morgan Advanced Materials, Corby, where we produce ceramic cores primarily for the aerospace sector. We are looking for three General Operatives to carry out the precision finishing of raw ceramic products to high-quality standards using sandpaper, files, and NSK drills.

No prior experience? No problem. We offer full training to develop your skills in a high-volume, quality-driven production environment.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Finishing & Quality Control

  • Work with ceramic components to remove die lines and refine surfaces.
  • Follow Standard Process Instructions (SPI) to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Perform visual checks to ensure products meet the required standards.

Production & Efficiency

  • Accurately complete batch/routing cards before moving products to the next stage.
  • Use magnifiers and specialist tools where required.
  • Report issues or defects to maintain production quality.

Safety & Organisation

  • Follow ‘think SAFE’ procedures and report any health and safety concerns.
  • Keep your work area clean and tidy at all times.
  • Be open to job rotation and support across various departments as needed.
