Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group's Amber Foods Willand site is recruiting General Operatives to support line operations, uphold food safety standards, and contribute to smooth production. You will follow GMP, work as part of a team, and help meet daily targets while maintaining high personal hygiene and safety.

The role is on-site with shifts from 15:25 to 23:55, Monday to Friday, and offers opportunities for training, apprenticeship options, and ongoing career progression within a leading UK food

Responsibilities

• General operative duties on the line as required.
• Maintain Health and Safety standards per Company Policy and legislation.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and 'clean as you go'.
• Minimise the risk of product contamination.
• Safe use of knives and maintain safety standards.
• Contribute toward daily product targets by maintaining a steady pace.
• Be aware of environment and hazards to themselves/peers.
• Adhere to training in basic food hygiene, health & safety and product quality.
• Maintain high personal hygiene and presentation during working hours.

The hours of work and shift patterns are:15:25 - 23:55 Monday to Friday

The rates of pay are: £13.26

General operative duties on the line as required

• Maintain Health and Safety standards in accordance with Company Policy and all relevant legislative documentation - actively encouraging health and safety awareness with other operatives maintaining a safe working environment.
• Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are adhered to in full - actively encouraging the 'clean as you go' philosophy.
• Ensure work practices minimise the risk of product contamination.
• Safe use of knives, maintaining health and safety standards
• Must be able to contribute towards achieving the product targets set for the day by working at a consistent work rate
• Must be aware of the surrounding environment and the potential hazards that could cause harm to themselves or their peers
• Ensure that all areas of training in basic food hygiene, health and safety and product quality are adhered to
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and presentation during working hours
