Job summary

Staffline is recruiting for a General Operative to work in Spalding at a leading supermarket meat production site. This full-time, ongoing role offers a starting wage of £13.00 per hour, with higher rates possible depending on experience.

As a General Operative you will handle and prepare meat products, operate machinery, and contribute to a busy production team in a chilled environment. You must follow hygiene and safety procedures and be physically capable of manual handling up to 20kg.

Job description

Great opportunity to work as a General Operative for one of the UK's leading supermarket meat production sites.

Staffline is recruiting for a General Operative to work in Spalding.

FREE transport is provided from 4 different locations in Peterborough.

This is a full-time, ongoing role.

Pay Rate

• Starting wage: £13.00 per hour
• Higher rates may be offered depending on experience

Departments and Shifts Available

Please note: Finish times vary depending on production demand. A typical shift can range from 6 to 10 hours.

Pork Boning Department

• Monday to Friday, starting at 05:45 until finish
• Duties include lifting, cutting, and working with machinery
• Experience is beneficial, but training will be provided if required

Your Time at Work

As a General Operative, your role may include:

• Handling and preparing meat products
• Operating machinery and equipment
• Working as part of a production team in a fast-paced environment
• Manual handling, including lifting of up to 20kg
• Following hygiene and safety procedures at all times

This role involves working in chilled environments and standing for extended periods.

Our ideal candidate will be reliable, punctual, and hard-working, with a good understanding of basic English and the ability to thrive in a physically demanding role.

You need to be fit to carry out manual handling tasks, demonstrate excellent time management, and maintain a flexible approach to working hours.

While previous experience as a Production Operative, Warehouse Worker, or Factory Operative is desirable, it is not essential, as full training will be provided.
