Job description

GI GROUP TELFORD is currently looking for an Extrusion Machine Operator / Assistant in Telford, Hortonwood area.

Company Overview

The company produces extruded bricks, paving accessories, and special shapes, offering customers aesthetically appealing clay products.

Health & Safety

All workers must comply with H&S requirements, including wearing RPE (Respiratory Protective Equipment) when operating machinery. The environment can be loud and dusty due to clay and materials. All PPE will be provided.

Working Hours

• 6am to 2:30pm Mon to Thurs
• 6am to 1pm Fri
• 8:15am to 5pm Mon to Thurs
• 6am to 12pm Sat

When manufacturing sanded products, the extrusion machine requires two operators, with hours from 6am to 5pm Mon to Thurs, 6am to 1pm Fri, and 6am to 12pm Sat, depending on the products being made.

Candidate Requirements

Compensation and Benefits

Pay rate: £12.21 per hour plus a plant bonus of £90-£97 per week, depending on plant performance (paid after 3 months' probation).
