Job summary

Ctrg is recruiting a full-time Pallet repairer to join our Grays site. The role involves restoring damaged pallets, manual sorting, and operating automated pallet sorting equipment. You will handle loading and unloading pallets from trailers and work on a 12-hour shift pattern: 2 days and 2 nights, 4 on 4 off, 06:00–18:00 and 18:00–06:00.

Pay is £12.71 per hour with overtime at £19.01. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work safely with hand and electric tools on site in

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physical work and sustain long shifts.
• Experience with pallet repairs and handling heavy loads is desirable.
• Ability to operate hand and electric tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Restore damaged LPR pallets to meet specifications and quality standards.
• Sort and restore pallets manually using hand and electric tools.
• Operate automated pallet sort equipment to reduce manual handling.
• Load and unload pallets from trailers.
• Meet production deadlines and targets.

Pay rates and typical working hours:

• Standard rate: £12.71 per hour

You will be working 12-hour shifts, on a '4 on4 off' basis. The shift consists of 2 days and 2 nights, spanning from 06:00 until 18:00 and 18:00 until 06:00

• Your role as a full time pallet repairer:
• Restoring damaged LPR pallets, ensuring they meet LPR specifications and quality standards
• Manual pallet sort and restore (ability to work with hand tools and electric tools is essential)
• Automated pallet sort with specially designed equipment to reduce manual handling
• Loading and unloading pallets from trailers
• Responsible for achieving production deadlines and targets
