Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting a General Operative for their client in Chiddingfold, in the manufacturing industry. The role involves metal-cutting work, safety gear, and on-the-job training.

You will operate the De Can cutting machine, recover precious metals from catalytic converters, and assist in packing parts for delivery. Training will be provided; reliability and punctuality are expected. Driving to site is required.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training will be provided.
• Comfortable in an industrial environment.
• Willing to wear PPE (gloves, eye protection, mask).

Responsibilities

• Operate the De Can cutting machine to open catalytic converters for processing.
• We will remove or recover valuable metals (e.g., platinum, palladium, rhodium) from the converters.
• Assist in warehouse duties, packing car parts for deliveries.

The Best Connection is currently recruiting for a General Operative for our well established client based in Chiddingfold in the manufacturing industry.

Due to location you MUST drive to get to site.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm

Pay: £13 per hour

Industry: Manufacturing

Responsibilities of the General Operative:

• You will be using the De Can cutting machine to open catalytic converters so they can be processed.
• Your task will be to remove or recover the valuable metals (like platinum, palladium, and rhodium) that are found inside catalytic converters.
• You will help out in the warehouse packing car parts for deliveries.

Requirements for the General Operative:

• This is a metal-cutting operation, so it involves safety risks like sharp edges, metal dust, and heavy machinery therefore must be comfortable with wearing safety gear (gloves, eye protection, mask) is a must.
• Must be happy with getting your hands dirty as you will be dealing with dust, grime, grease.
• Comfortable being in an industrial or workshop environment.
• No experience needed all training will be provided.
