Holcim UK is seeking a motivated General Operative for our concrete block plant in Barton. You will operate manufacturing equipment, inspect routines, and maintain cleanliness as part of a multi-skilled team producing concrete products.

The role involves a 24/5 rotating shift pattern (06:00-14:15, 14:00-22:15, 22:00-06:15) with possible overtime and will provide full training for the right candidate.

Qualifikationen

• Physically fit and capable of manual labour, including lifting and carrying 20kg for short distances.

We have an exciting new opportunity for a confident and highly motivated General Operative based out of our concrete block plant in Barton. As an Operative you will be expected to operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently to maximise production. To inspect, carry out and ensure that plant routines are regularly adhered to and that the cleanliness of the equipment's, production area, adjacent buildings and storage areas are at all times properly and regularly inspected, cleaned and maintained in accordance with site instructions. You will operate as a member of a multi-skilled production team producing concrete products. The factory operates on a 24/5 rotating three shift pattern (06:00-14:15, 14:00-22:15 and 22:00-06:15) with possible overtime as and when required. Full training will be provided for the right candidate. We are looking for a highly motivated General Operative with a requirement for drive and enthusiasm and is able to work as part of Shift team.

• Good aptitude to learn how to operate the production press, outfeed system.
• Operating forklift and counterbalance trucks (Full training provided)
• Excellent communication and team working skills.
• Good organisational skills.
• Able to work on your own initiative.
• Physically fit and capable of manual labour, including lifting and carrying 20kgs for short distances.
