Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a General Merchandising Assistant to help set up and replenish our homeware, clothing, entertainment and other ranges. You will ensure attractive displays and well-stocked shelves to create a great shopping experience for customers.

You will work flexibly across the store, provide excellent service, and use product knowledge to recommend items. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoys helping customers.

Qualifications

• You must be above the school-leaver age in your country.
• Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
• If shifts start before 6am or end after 11pm, you must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and position Tu and Habitat brands and other ranges to appeal to customers.
• Move products and replenish stock from warehouse using heavy roll cages up to 15kg.
• Build knowledge about products, services and promotions to provide recommendations.
• Work flexibly across the store as required.
• Always on-hand to serve customers and offer help and advice on a wide range of products.

What you’ll be doing:

• Set-up and position our Tu and Habitat brands, along with our entertainment, electrical and stationery ranges, to make them appealing for customers.
• Moving products around as trends and seasons change as well as collecting stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15kg) to replenish items across the department
• Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations
• Working flexibly across the store as required
• Always being on-hand to serve our customers brilliantly, supporting with any questions and advice on a wide range of products, and proactively offering help
