Job Opportunity: General Manager - Vibrant Restaurant and Bar

Location: London

Salary: Up to £50,000 + £10,000 bonus based on KPIs

Working Days: Tuesday - Saturday (with Monday and Sunday off, except for select events)

About the Role:

A vibrant venue in London, split across two floors, is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead both the restaurant and the bar. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in a lively, festive environment known for its excellent food, live music, and warm hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of both the restaurant and bar.
• Lead a team of 8 Front of House and 7 Back of House staff, ensuring high standards and seamless operations.
• Engage with guests to provide an exceptional dining experience, fostering a fun and lively atmosphere.
• Collaborate on menu and event planning, maintaining the high quality of food and service.
• Handle administrative tasks with the support of head office, including rota management and daily menu printing.
• Drive sales and optimise profitability, leveraging market trends and business opportunities.

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong background in restaurant/wine bar management with excellent food and wine knowledge – there is a 60% split one beverage so you must know your stuff!
• They will also look at a food led Gastro pub background, so don’t be put off!
• A very strong AGM who is looking for a step up will also be considered - need to have run the restaurant and bar and has a degree of financial acumen!
• Hands-on experience in bar operations – there is no on-site sommelier so really need to understand wine, you will work closely with the Group Sommelier
• Proactive, organised, and computer literate, with the ability to lead from the front.
• Passionate about hospitality with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• WSET Level 2 or above preferred.
