Position: General Manager for Urgent & Unscheduled Care

Location: Borders General Hospital, NHS Borders

Salary: Agenda for Change 8C - £73,506 to £79,221 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a General Manager for Urgent and Unscheduled Care at Borders General Hospital. The postholder will provide compassionate, values-based leadership to deliver safe, high-quality, accessible, and effective care for patients and local communities. The General Manager will also lead and be accountable for implementing our new system-wide urgent care improvement plan.

Borders General Hospital (BGH), part of NHS Borders, is located in a scenic part of Scotland near the charming town of Melrose. BGH is a great place to work, where staff prioritize people and recognize their positive impact on community health and wellbeing. NHS Borders is co-developing a new 5-year strategy to transform future care delivery, and the General Manager will play a key role in this journey.
