Job description

A long-established distributor of specialist consumer goods is looking to for Transport & Distribution Manager to lead the transport operations at
reporting to the Operations Director North.
Unionised environment.

As Transport and Distribution Manager you will directly oversee both the transport of the business, responsible for a team of -warehouse
35 drivers as well as 85 warehouse operatives.

A large part of your role will be ensuring the business remains compliant with O License and VOSA requirements, putting in place new systems and procedures where necessary. You will also regularly liaise with customers on service delivery matters, ensuring expectations are understood and met.

To be successful in this role you will be a versatile and adaptable individual with substantial experience in a transport manager role, preferably with additional knowledge or experience in warehouse management. Communication skills are key, and experience of working in a family business or SME environment will be an advantage. A current CPC (national or international) is required.
