Tiempo Lounge is hiring a hands-on General Manager to lead our local caf bar and act as the heart of the community. You will build and motivate teams, ensure top hospitality standards, and run the business with an owner mindset.

This role offers progression within a growing hospitality brand and involvement in local community activities. You will oversee operations, develop staff, manage KPIs, and ensure excellent guest experiences across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to build and lead loyal teams with a one-team culture within front of house and kitchen.
• Strong community engagement and relationship building with guests and neighbours.
• Lead from the floor, coach in the moment, and drive staff development and progression.
• Comfortable with GP, labour, stock and KPIs to make smart, customer-focused decisions.
• Experience managing restaurants, bars, cafés, or coffee shops with recruiting and development responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of Tiempo Lounge operations across shifts, ensuring staffing and standards.
• Build, recruit and develop a strong team with clear development plans for growth.
• Collaborate with Head Chef to monitor food quality, wait times, stock, and training.
• Analyze GP, labour, stock, and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
• Lead weekly Head of Department meetings across 14 shifts to align the team.
• Strengthen the lounge’s community presence through events and local relationships.
• Schedule rotas two weeks in advance and lead shift reporting on performance and safety.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of Tiempo Lounge - leading a variety of shifts, making sure the right people are in the right place and standards never slip
• Build, recruit and develop a strong team, with clear development plans for your team members so people know how to grow with you
• Work shoulder-to-shoulder with your Head Chef to stay across everything from food quality and wait times to stock, NSF standards and cross-team training
• Know your numbers inside out - GP, labour, NPS, stock counts and use them to make smart decisions and drive continuous improvement
• Lead weekly HOD meetings, keeping everyone aligned, motivated and pulling in the same direction across all 14 shifts
• Put Tiempo Lounge at the heart of the local community - through an active social media presence, community events, and building genuine relationships with your regulars and neighbours
• Schedule fair rotas at least two weeks in advance and take the lead on all shift reporting, including performance, customer issues and safety

You're comfortable recruiting, training and developing teams, and you're as happy running a shift as you are reviewing performance. As General Manager you'll lead your own Lounge.
