Job description

Are you a dynamic, strategic leader with a passion for travel, a background in Sales, with a focus on customer experience and strong people management skills? If so, this fantastic opportunity could be your next move...

Our client, a small, but well established and hugely successful travel business, is looking for a General Manager, primarily to lead the sales and marketing teams to new heights. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving performance across the sales and marketing functions, ensuring the level of quality enquiries remain consistent and are delivered into this high-performing sales team.

As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will report directly to the MD, deputizing when necessary and contributing to strategic business decisions, representing the company when required. You will have a keen eye on market trends and performance, ensuring you maximize opportunity for the business. You will also be experienced and comfortable in preparing reports, attending and presenting at board meetings.

You will usually be office based, with at least 4 office days per week and so, must be within commutable distance to Glasgow. This role requires someone with strong leadership qualities, but also someone who isn't afraid to be hands-on when required.

The role is typically Mon-Fri, however some evenings/weekends are required.
