Job summary

Leisure People in Cambridge is seeking a General Manager to lead the overall operation of a prestigious country club. You will drive commercial performance, member experience and service excellence across golf, health, spa, dining and events.

The role requires a commercially astute leader with strong people management skills who can balance premium guest experience with operational discipline, cost control and strategic growth. Interviews available immediately.

Qualifications

• Experience as General Manager or equivalent in premium leisure/hospitality.
• Proven track record of revenue growth and cost control.
• Experience managing multi-department operations in golf, country club or premium hospitality.
• Strong financial literacy including budgeting, forecasting and P&L management.
• Commitment to outstanding customer service and member engagement.

Responsibilities

• Take full accountability for the overall management and strategic direction of the club.
• Develop business plans that drive sustainable revenue growth and profitability.
• Lead commercial strategies across membership, golf, health, spa and F&B.
• Monitor KPIs, financial results and operational performance and address challenges.
• Oversee facilities, events, dining and hospitality operations.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, licensing and employment regulations.
