Job description

We're looking for a General Manager for a family-friendly pub in the heart of Nottinghamshire's historic woodlands. Salary up to £45,000 plus bonus and a generous benefits package.

Marston’s is one of the UK’s largest and most beloved pub chains, operating over 1,300 pubs, bars, and hotels. We are seeking a great General Manager to lead at The Alders in Ollerton and drive the team to success!

About the pub

The Alders is a community pub located near Sherwood Forest and other parks like Clumber Park and Clipstone Forest. Named after the original spelling of Allerton, meaning 'farm amongst the alders.'

It features a community food menu, daily carvery, children's play area, and a large beer garden. The pub trades at approximately £29,000 weekly net sales, with a 60/40 split favoring food sales.

Success at The Alders requires an experienced General Manager with a proven track record in high-volume, food-led branded environments. You should be a natural leader passionate about inspiring teams, delivering excellent guest experiences, and engaging with the local community. Management accommodation is available in a 3-bedroom flat above the pub.
