What you'll be doing:

To organise and supervise the unit in accordance with and to the standards required by Compass Group UK & Ireland, the contract specification, and statutory regulations. Responsible for the overall efficient and effective management of the unit, providing a quality service. Oversee the preparation, cooking, and service of food to meet standards and specifications. Ensure the efficient and economical use of all resources, including stock, team members, and company assets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide guidance and take a strategic approach to managing the business through your team.
  • Previous Contract Catering Experience
  • Communicate, motivate, and guide your management team and catering staff daily. Set clear responsibilities and monitor performance.
  • Take overall responsibility for food and health & safety procedures in the catering department.
  • Communicate regularly with the client.
  • Complete action plans following customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Promote the unit and act as a Compass Group Advocate.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Ensure all client hospitality is delivered to standard and seek feedback.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the service and discuss with your line manager.
  • Bring innovation and flair.
  • Operate within the budget, monitor trends, and implement corrective actions if needed.
  • Ensure all customer requirements are met to expectations.
