Key Responsibilities
Finance
- Maintain and update business forecasts, ensuring accurate financial planning.
- Provide reporting for the Senior Leadership Team to support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct P&L reviews and report monthly financial adjustments.
- Manage billing operations, including issuing invoices, reviewing recurring revenue, and ensuring accuracy.
- Raise payments and conduct bank reconciliations.
- Support credit control processes, ensuring timely payment collection and financial stability.
- Issue customer statements and direct debit notifications.
- Oversee and optimise finance systems and workflows.
Operations
- Lead the Business Services team, providing management and accountability to ensure operational efficiency.
- Identify operational process improvements and implement changes.
- Maintain key operational and financial metrics, presenting reports to senior leadership.
- Oversee office logistics and daily operations.
- Maintain and update company policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations (health & safety, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Manage ConnectWise PSA updates and system changes.
- Maintain records of contracts, assets, and renewal dates, ensuring compliance with service agreements.
- Assist sales with contracts and amendments.
- Prepare updates for board meetings, including financial and HR insights.
- Organise company events to promote team engagement.
HR
- Oversee HR functions, liaising with the outsourced HR team for internal matters.
Experience and Skills
- UK Driving license and own car.
- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly.
- Financial management experience, including budgets and forecasts.
- Excellent organisational and decision-making skills.
- Availability for the full maternity cover period.
- Experience in B2B IT industry preferred.
Technical Knowledge
- Familiarity with Xero, HR systems, and ConnectWise PSA (desirable).
Qualifications
- Degree in Business Management, Operations Management, or related field.
- Professional qualifications (optional).
