Job summary

Greene King is seeking a General Manager in the United Kingdom to lead a local Greene King pub, driving sales and delivering memorable customer experiences. You will manage a team, uphold brand standards, and nurture a welcoming environment for guests.

Leveraging your leadership and P&L skills, you will recruit, train, and develop staff while ensuring compliance and safety. A personal license may be needed, and you’ll have opportunities to grow within Greene King’s brands.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in hospitality or retail.
• Strong English communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage P&L and budgets.
• Willingness to obtain a personal license if not already held.

Qualifications

What you'll do as a General Manager...

• Work with your business development manager and management team to grow pub sales.
• Lead by example in everything you do and bring our brand to life through your team in delivering amazing experiences for our customers.
• You will recruit & develop your team to ensure they have the knowledge needed to delight our customers.
• Be a champion of brand standards & ensure customer & team safety at all times.
• Please be aware that if you are successful in this role you will need to either already have, or be able to acquire a personal license.

What you'll bring...

• Very high standards and attention to detail in all aspects of the day-to- day running of a successful pub.
• You're great with people, and as a result, have great communication and leadership skills.
• You’ll be business savvy, with a keen eye for P&L control.
• You'll embrace individuality and care for others, your pub and the environment.
• Previous success at General Manager level is desirable; from a hospitality, retail or other fast paced background, and the right attitude and outlook is essential!
• You're keen to learn and happiest when you succeed at something new.
• Sufficient spoken and written English to perform the role safely and understand allergen controls.
