Job summary

The Boxford in Newbury, part of WSH Restaurants, is seeking a General Manager to lead day-to-day operations, steer guest experience, and develop a high-performing team across a Mediterranean dining concept.

You will oversee financial performance, labour and stock control, events and promotions, and ensure compliance with health, safety and licensing while maintaining exceptional hospitality that reflects the brand.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience as a General Manager or Restaurant Manager in high-volume settings.
• Experience managing large teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and develop the management team including restaurant managers.
• Oversee daily operations across service, kitchen, and events.
• Drive guest satisfaction and respond to feedback to improve service.
• Manage profitability through food, beverage, labor, and stock controls.
• Lead events/planning and support marketing campaigns.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, health and safety, and records.
