Location: Northamptonshire
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum + Bonus (OTE £48,000 - £52,000)

We're now looking for a dynamic and experienced General Manager to join our team and lead one of our clubs in Northamptonshire.

The Role

This is not a desk job. As General Manager, you'll be the face of the club-engaging with members, motivating staff, and driving a culture of excellence and accountability. You'll lead from the front, walking the gym floor, inspiring your teams, and ensuring every part of the member journey is nothing short of exceptional.

You'll oversee all operational and commercial aspects of the club, ensuring it runs efficiently, meets financial targets, and delivers outstanding customer service. You will manage a team of Heads of Department, coach and support your team, and play a key role in strategy, planning, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire and develop a passionate and performance-driven team.
• Drive club profitability by managing all elements of the P&L, setting targets, and delivering on KPIs.
• Ensure a consistently high level of customer service across all departments-from front of house to fitness and F&B.
• Be a visible leader, engaging with members and staff across all areas of the club, not behind a desk.
• Deliver operational excellence across health & safety, cleanliness, staffing, and facilities.
• Work closely with Heads of Department to ensure all teams are aligned with business objectives.
• Foster a positive, motivated culture where every team member feels valued and empowered.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and brand standards.
• Create and maintain a strong member community through effective engagement and communication.

About You

• Proven General Manager experience in a health & fitness, leisure, or hospitality setting.
• Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of P&L management and driving profitability.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills-you lead by example and are always present.
• A passion for health, fitness, and wellness.
• Proven ability to manage multiple teams and departments effectively.
• Committed to exceptional customer service and continuously improving the member journey.
• Energetic, approachable, and hands-on-comfortable on the gym floor and in team briefings.
• Able to work flexible hours including one weekend in four.
• Must live in or near Northamptonshire.

• Competitive basic salary of £38,000 - £42,000, based on experience
