Goodwood is renowned for creating truly unforgettable moments—and now we’re looking for an exceptional General Manager to help shape and drive the success of our world-class events and lead the Event Projects team which is at the heart of the planning and delivery of a broad range of events including Goodwoof, Nucleus, Magnolia Cup, Qatar Goodwood Festival, Doghouse events and the Health Summit.

This role is all about vision, strategic thinking, and creativity. You’ll champion innovation, and ensure our events stay captivating, customer-centric, and firmly aligned with Goodwood’s values.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide inspirational leadership across all Event Projects, ensuring clarity and alignment among internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate across Partnerships, Marketing, Operations, Content & Digital functions to deliver the annual PBT targets
  • Protect and develop the distinct personality and brand of each event, ensuring a consistent and inspiring creative direction
  • Manage build schedules, critical paths, and strategic event planning while fostering team excellence
  • Plan and Manage VIP itineraries to deliver exceptional delegate and guest experience
  • Champion a culture of excellence, innovation, and customer-first thinking in every event detail
  • Lead and develop the Event Projects Planning team, prioritising talent development and high performance
  • Own event budgets and procurement activity, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining quality

What You’ll Bring:

  • A genuine passion for live events, with the drive to deliver magic at every touchpoint
  • In-depth knowledge of event industry standards, particularly in large-scale and outdoor formats
  • Proven success in leading complex projects, overseeing infrastructure builds, and navigating shifting priorities

  • Confidence and charisma in leading cross-functional teams, motivating staff, and influencing stakeholders
