Job summary

Executive Recruit Scotland seeks an experienced General Manager to take full operational ownership of an established engineering business that designs, manufactures and installs ventilation and extraction systems across the UK. This hands-on role offers autonomy, close customer relationships and a direct influence on every part of the business.

Reporting to the owners, you will oversee manufacturing, workshop operations, installation, engineering, commercial performance and customer delivery,

Qualifications

Extensive experience leading an engineering or contracting business.
Hands-on, autonomous leader with P&L experience.
Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive profitability.
Proven ability to manage manufacturing, workshop operations, installation, and delivery.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day operation of the business.
Oversee manufacturing, workshop, installation, engineering, and delivery.
Drive operational efficiency, quality and profitability.
Develop customer relationships and support growth.
Oversee project delivery from order through to installation.
Coach and develop managers and employees.
Collaborate with owners on long-term strategic objectives.
Create culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
