With a commitment to sustainability, innovation, and animal welfare, they are looking to strengthen their team by hiring a results-driven General Manager to lead their egg production operations in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Job Description

Reporting to the Managing Director, You are required to carry out the below duties:

Operational Excellence: Leading and managing the operations of a 120,000 bird capacity production site in Tanzania.

• Implement production strategies to meet and exceed the monthly and quarterly KPI's
• Focusing on minimizing mortality and maximizing productivity per bird to egg ratio's

Financial Management: Overseeing the entire poultry farm budgeting, forecasting & cost control

• Managing the entire P&L, cash flow, CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
• Responsible for leading investment decisions on bird feed, labor, equipment and capital investments

Leadership Planning Setting clear, measurable production goals aligned with business growth

• Develop long-term strategies for flock management, sustainability and expansion
• Responsible for establishing relationships with retail distributors within local markets

The Successful Applicant

Minimum 10 years of proven experience as a General Manager, with a focus on optimizing Poultry operations efficiency primarily within Tanzania. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Agriculture. You bring 5 years in a leadership role. Proven experience in managing large-scale egg production operations is required. Strong understanding of poultry health, nutrition and bio-security standards. Financial acumen and experience in operational budgeting. Excellent fluency in English. Fluency in additional languages is a bonus. Must be willing to work in a remote site in Tanzania.
