Mitchells & Butlers invites applications for a General Manager in Training across our Toby Carvery network in the North East. You will join a 12-week induction to develop leadership and operational skills, with a clear path to general management opportunities.

You'll drive teams, manage guest experiences, and support district operations while training. Successful candidates will show strong potential, flexibility for shifts, and a passion for hospitality excellence.

Qualifications

• Be a seasoned pro in leading a team and developing a business.
• Experience as deputy manager, retail manager, store manager, catering manager or equivalent.
• Be able to drive to support business in your district whilst training.

TheGeneral Manager in Training is a crucial role within our business. As a GeneralManager in Training, you will embark on a comprehensive 12-week inductionprogram, designed to develop the skills and knowledge you need to become asuccessful General Manager. This role provides an excellent opportunity for thosewith strong leadership potential to progress within Mitchells & Butlers.

Based within a district as a General Manager in Training,you will need to be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle as you will be working across anumber of different businesses. With the support of your area manager and armed with atraining plan, you will grow your teams and smash your targets.

PROGRESSION

Uponsuccessful completion of the 12-week induction program, you will be assessedfor your readiness to take on a General Manager role. If you’ve smashed yourtraining plan, you’ll be considered for available General Manager positions totake on a business of your own. Alternatively, individuals may be consideredfor Deputy or Assistant Manager positions based on their performance anddevelopment needs.

WHAT DO I NEED?

• Beable to drive, to support business in your district whilst training.
