Job description

Salary: 55,000 (plus10% performance-related discretionary bonus) + fully expensed company car

Location: Bakewell

Hours: 08:30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and dynamic leader who thrives on getting the best out of people and inspiring teams towards shared goals.

Initially joining as Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in leading production and quality operations, driving operational excellence, and embedding a strong safety and continuous improvement culture. With the support of the Managing Director, you will be developed to take on full General Management responsibility for the entire operation within a couple of years.

The Role:

• Lead, motivate, and coach high-performing teams to meet and exceed operational targets.
• Drive improvements in production efficiency, product quality, and cost control.
• Promote and maintain a robust health and safety culture across the business.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Implement lean manufacturing initiatives such as Kaizen and Just-in-Time (JIT).
• Manage supplier relationships and integration with international manufacturing teams.

About You:

• A proven leader with substantial experience managing large teams within a manufacturing or production environment.
• A strong people manager, able to inspire, engage, and align teams behind a shared vision.
• Skilled in managing complex operations, meeting KPIs, and balancing competing priorities.
• Experience working with ERP systems (SAP desirable).
