General Manager, Covent Garden Market Authority

An exciting opportunity has arisen to take charge of the running of New Covent Garden Market. Could this be a gateway to an MBE, whilst delivering future development for the market?

We are searching for a dynamic business leader to take charge of CGMA, based at their site in Nine Elms. This is a pivotal role, responsible for driving profitability, ensuring financial health, and delivering best-in-class leadership across the multifaceted elements of the business.

You will lead from the front, setting the standard for people management, strategic thinking, and delivering the Authority's vision. Working closely with commercial and property teams, you'll be the person who brings it all together: balancing the needs of tenants, redevelopment pressures, whilst setting strategic priorities to deliver a sustainable, world-class horticultural market.

Success in this role means thinking big while managing the detail, shaping strategy and developing the market for future generations, collaborating with senior peers across the wider framework. You'll represent the business with the Board, tenants, and external stakeholders, influencing outcomes and championing performance at every level.
