Seven Logistics is seeking an experienced General Manager for Container Transport Operations to lead a busy planning team and coordinate with the Head of Operations. The role focuses on smooth planning from Felixstowe, London Gateway and Southampton, KPI reporting, and adherence to industry regulations.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in container transport planning, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to manage a busy traffic office while ensuring top-tier

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading an operational team in container transport.
• Strong knowledge of container transport operations and KPI tracking.
• Working knowledge of TOPS or equivalent routing/planning software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Head of Operations to plan work across Felixstowe, London Gateway and Southampton.
• Optimize fleet utilization and staff performance through planning and resource management.
• Support KPI reporting and daily statistics to monitor performance and drive improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Travel to other depots as required to support operations.
• Oversee transport operations and maintain service levels.
• Manage driver relationships and coordination with fleet department.
