Job description

We at Work Lyf Group are recruiting for a General Manager for our established client based in the Stoke-on-Trent area. The General Manager will take primary responsibility for leading the Stoke-on-Trent site, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the business achieves its strategic, financial, and performance goals.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential:

Proven experience in a senior leadership role within manufacturing or a related operational environment.

Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage cross-functional projects, and drive performance improvement.

Strong commercial awareness with budget and P&L management experience.

Skilled in operational strategy, planning, and execution.

Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making skills.

Knowledge of H&S, quality standards, and manufacturing best practices.

Desirable:

Extensive experience of working in manufacturing industry.

Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies.

Professional qualifications in operations, engineering, or management.

Working Hours: 40 hours Monday – Friday
